Well, Billy No-Mates was a boy Who hailed from Jollywood He lived a fantasy, in a lonely life He knew if he was to be someone He'd need to find a house With 3 kids and a wife inside He took the high road He got about nothing done He took a trip of two All play and no fun But when he woke he realised He'd been the bad guy His own worst enemy In charge of his life And so he planned a trip Right out of Jollywood He took a 9 to 5 Just to survive, some of the time He played winner and a beggar man Spending time on his feet To spend the night on the streets He took the low road He sold his soul He tried to be someone All work and no fun But when he spoke he realised This wasn't his mind He was somebody else In charge of his life And so he made his way Right back to Jollywood Without family, or a house Or any work to speak of He just sat there with a smile Telling stories of the time When his feet were all he had To get by He took the road home He'd journeyed far, alone But when he found himself He need he'd come whole That was the day he realised He'd wasted his life On something worth the cost On something worth the price He took the low road He took the high road He took the road home All paths did he roam That was the day he realised He had a good life Not something worth the books But something worth the time Well, Billy Nomad was a man Who hailed from Jollywood
